Director of Pharmacy
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead our hospital client's pharmacy operations in Redding, CA. In this critical leadership role, you will ensure the highest standards of medication management, drive operational efficiency, and foster collaboration between pharmacy staff, physicians, and healthcare teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of daily pharmacy operations to ensure safe and effective medication management.
- Lead and mentor a team of pharmacy professionals, ensuring high performance and compliance.
- Manage the department’s budget, staffing, and inventory to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare staff to enhance patient care and medication safety.
- Stay ahead of industry advancements, regulatory changes, and technological innovations, implementing improvements as needed.
- Ensure full compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Current state Registered Pharmacy License (required).
- B.S. in Pharmacy (required); Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Master’s Degree in a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of hospital pharmacy experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to foster collaboration across departments.
- Proficiency with hospital pharmacy systems, spreadsheets, and data management tools.
