Job Description
Are you an experienced Corporate Controller that enjoys partnering with a new CEO on finance and business growth strategies? Do you have prior experience with Private Equity firms, Big 4 Companies and/or Merger & Acquisitions and enjoy managing small finance and accounting teams in a growing company?
If you consider yourself to be a high-energy, hands-on leader that can work independently and tackle key initiatives as a partner with a new CEO, then this role is for you!

About the Role
In this, direct hire, Corporate Controller role you report directly to the CEO and will manage all aspects of the finance group while helping the company scale for continued growth.
This role will be responsible for all key accounting and finance functions while supervising 2-3 direct reports and working closely with the CEO on operational matters to improve customer service, performance, and profitability.

Target Salary: $150K - $170K (may consider higher DOE) + Performance pay
Â
Required Qualifications:
- CPA, MBA or similar qualification.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 8+ plus years of work experience with 3 - 5 years of senior-level accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP with ability to research and implement new technical standards.
- Advanced computer skills with high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analytics tools
- Development and management of key metrics, management reporting, and Board reporting.
- Tax compliance experience (State & Federal income taxes, sales tax, etc.).
- Experience managing relationships related to banking, insurance, IT, and Audit/Tax Firm.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Big 4 accounting or medium sized firm experience.
- Construction or Constructions services experience.
- Experience working with Private Equity backed businesses.
- Experience with M&A and transaction accounting.
- Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software a plus!
